a messy studio table

This photo shows the reality of my studio when work is in process. As I’ve mentioned before, it’s a small space in which a lot happens. This photo shows bits of my varied processes: watercolor brushes, oil paints and mediums, drawing pencils , and a jar of cotton threads.

While I’ve been working with a mixed media process for a number of years now, I’m a trained oil painter and sometimes get an itch to paint in oil. As of late, I’ve been experimenting with water-mixable oils. Not seen in the photo, is a large stack of small canvases—for experiments and practice.
