New abstract paintings in the gallery

I’ve been working on both paintings and mixed media pieces these past few months and there are several new paintings on canvas available at the gallery. When I paint, it becomes all about the marks and the color. Like with my mixed media pieces, the paintings are also about layering. There are so many layers in these two works, especially the one above, I lost count. I love the history this creates on the canvas, both seen and unseen.

The gallery is open Thursdays through Mondays, 11 a.m. - 4 p.m. and is located on the first floor of the Fairfield Building, 242 Michigan St. in Sturgeon Bay, WI.
