It’s cold outside! Add warmth to your home with these works of art

It’s cold outside so I thought it might be fun to thematically curate some of the works of art available in the gallery and on my website that add visual warmth to a space. Here are three contemporary abstract works of art to warm up your home or office.

This piece, Alchemy 1, features a warm, autumn color palette and the stitching is done with color gradation.  The embroidery definitely took some time since I needed to rethread the needle with each color change. 

This piece has a lot of visual depth and the embroidery adds another layer of warmth with the texture it creates.

Grounding is warm but has a more summery feel because the golds and yellows are contrasted with lavender, pinks, and light blue. To me this feels like a flower field in late summer/early autumn. 

Solo Flight is warm in all the ways—the embroidered butterfly, the gold frame, and the drawn pattern inspired by the Milkweed plant.
