hello from my studio

Shan_in_studio.jpg

Like many artists I prefer to be behind the camera but know I should show up here as a person occasionally. My daughter took this photo of me working in my studio. In this photo, you can see the first few layers of a work in process. I use blue tape to hold the layers together while I work. They are assembled formally with the embroidery work that is the last stage of the process.
