beautiful, tiny garden visitors

The mock orange bush in the photo above was flowering last week and covered with moths. This led me to explore the other garden areas in our yard and take a lot of reference photos for my art.

So happy to have the image references and to see so many pollinators at work in the garden. Pollinators are up against so many obstacles right now: pesticides, land development, and too much light at night.

My husband is the gardener in our house; I’m so grateful for all of you gardeners who create habitat for pollinators. They are so beautiful and critical to the health of so many things, including our food supply. Here’s to hoping that we, as a society, start paying more attention to their care.
