Though moths have long been part of my visual vocabulary, I just began making work with butterflies last year. This piece has a pattern design inspired by the milkweed plant drawn in the background. The milkweed plant provides critical habitat for monarch butterflies.
Suspension is a one of a kind work of fine art made with thread and watercolor on layers of different papers. It is framed in white frame and archival mat. The framed piece is 12” x 12” framed (art is 7” x 7”).
