"Resplendent: Attendants" a work of art on paper in a 19" x 19" x 2" white frame

A year or so ago a friend mentioned that my work reminds her of the ancient Mesopotamian jewelry found at the Royal Cemetery at Ur. Her comment led me to research ancient jewelry where I came upon the following quote from the exhibition website for Jewelry: the Body Transformed at the The Metropolitan Museum of Art, “It (jewelry) catches the light, attracts the eye, shines, reflects. When the conditions are right, it can be resplendent.” 

This quote reflects what I see while watching our backyard bees, especially looking inside one of our hives, with its shimmering honey, the detailed patterns of honeycomb, and the abundance of bees.

Attendants is a one of a kind work of fine art made with thread and watercolor on layers of different papers. It is mounted in an archival window mat in a museum quality frame.. The framed piece is 19” x 19” framed (art is 11” x 11”).
