two works of art on the studio wall

One of these works is done and ready to frame and the other is still in process. In both of the works, I experimented with diamond patterns in the embroidery. Each work has layers of painting and drawing that are finished with a layer of embroidery. I’m sometimes asked if the bottom layers of the work are handmade (rather than printed) and indeed they are, typically painted and drawn with watercolor, gouache and graphite.
