the beauty of drips and splatters
I intentionally add drips, spatters, and other stray marks to many of my paintings. I love the beauty these add to a painting by showing so clearly the properties inherent in the paint. When I make these marks I control them, to a point, by laying the picking up and turning the paper to move the drips. When the drips are just right I lay the paper flat to stop them from moving any further.
The prints in the photo will be for sale this week. Sign up for emails to be one of the first to know when they are available.
