August Exhibition: NewART/SNC

I’m delighted to be participating in the exhibition NEW ART/SNC at NewARTSpace in De Pere, WI with my St. Norbert College Art colleagues. This show opens August 5 with the De Pere Art Walk, from 4-8 p.m., and runs through Sept. 2. I’ll be exhibiting two works that haven’t been seen in a while, Cicada (shown above) and Flight. These works have patterns that are cut away, rather than sewn, with hints of the embroidery that has since taken over my work.

Cicada feels perfect for August when cicadas are singing in full force, one of my favorite sounds.
