Letting things happen in their own time

I’d set a goal to have fifteen new paintings done by the end of July. It’s becoming obvious to me that goal may have been too ambitious, given the busyness of the summer months and I’m shifting the completion date to end of August.

Finding the balance between firm deadlines (which always help to ensure that work gets done!) and letting things happen in their own time is tricky but important. Sometimes work simply needs more space to evolve so I’m going to let that happen and look forward to sharing the work with you in the near future.
