Gallery Life

Today is a cloudy and rainy studio day and a good time to reflect on the experience of running a gallery so far (I’ve been open just over a month now).

There has definitely been, and continues to be, a learning curve. Getting up and running was hard because I was still finishing up my previous job and juggling a number of other things. Once I got settled in this space though, and could place my professional focus solely on the business and making my art, the days became joyful and rather peaceful. I’m so grateful to spend my days in this gorgeous space.

A huge thanks to those of you who collected a work of my art this month. Starting this gallery was most definitely a leap of faith and those early sales helped me mentally settle in to this new adventure and realize it just might work!

It’s been so fun to meet new people, see SNC art alumni walk through the gallery doors, and chat with artists and art lovers.

I’m open Thursdays through Mondays, 11 a.m. - 4 p.m. The gallery is located on the first floor of the Fairfield Building, 242 Michigan St. in Sturgeon Bay, WI.

If you’re not already receiving studio emails, join the collector’s list to stay up today on Studio + Gallery news.
