Daily Paintings: Small Studies Feb. 1, 2, 3

This. month I’m participating in the daily art challenge, Sketchuary, created by Katie Ries.

Along with posting these daily paintings and mixed media pieces on Instagram, I thought I’d also share them here. Katie posts a word prompt for each day of the month.

Sketchuary Day 1: Turn (word prompt). I focused on process with this word prompt, turning a book page and turning a circle.

Sketchuary Day 2: Lattice. For this one, I stitched a lattice-like pattern.

Sketchuary Day 3: Sleight (my first lighthouse painting)

The storm. The sleight of hand. Wave after wave after wave. But the light is still here. Whispering.
