    November

November is one of the tougher months for me, primarily because of the time change and shorter days.  Getting outside in all sorts of weather, though, reminds me of all that is beautiful about this time of year.  Here in Wisconsin leaves fall and ice freezes and melts and freezes again. It’s a time to turn inward, slow down and get into the studio.  I wish for you a joyful and creative start to this holiday season, one that is filled with many glimpses of the beauty of this world.

    Art of Water Exhibition

The Art of Water II exhibition opens at James May Gallery Friday, May 4, 5:30-8:00 p.m. Two of my paintings will be on exhibit, as will works by many other artists.  The show takes place at multiple venues and the reception for last year’s Art of Water I exhibition was a really fun event.  The full schedule can be found at the  gallery’s website.  It promises to be an inspiring exhibition that helps fund water conservation on the peninsula.

Spring Studio Intensive at the Peninsula School of Art

Winter on the peninsula is beautiful but…. …if you are ready for a bit of spring, sign up for the May Studio Intensive at the Peninsula School of Art.  You’ll immerse yourself in the creation of new work and engage in readings, discussion and critique.  I’ll be leading this session which is, in many ways, an artist residency experience.  Watch my Instagram these next few months for sneak peeks at readings. Hope to see you there!
