Yellow Orioles

Nesting is one of several piece I’ve made featuring orioles. In this one I wanted to play with a yellow/blue color scheme and decided to go with yellow orioles. The organic line of the gold stitching represents my observance of their flight patterns from a nearby tree housing a nest to and from our feeder, repetitious and circular but with occasional variation (please note that mine is an artistic rather than scientific observation ).

This last photo if of the piece hanging on my studio wall, waiting to go into its frame. The piece is about 27” x 27” and floats in a 29” x 29” white, wooden frame.

Nesting is available at Cappaert Contemporary.
